I've completed the quiz on a film from 2012. It is lined up behind a quiz that I've already submitted for the latest quiz commission.
Also, I will take a go at an Oscar winning film too.
A few doubts to be cleared out. A movie is termed as 'Oscar winning' even if it won something ONLY in the technical categories right like costume designing or VFX? So is it ok if a quiz is made on such a movie?
Can anyone clear this up for me?

Oscars are Oscars, so a quiz about any film that won any Oscar should be absolutely fine. To dot the i and cross the t, I would include a question about the award as part of the quiz.

Just bear in mind the Movies guideline that says that players should be able to answer the questions in a Movies quiz from having watched the film and its credits. Knowledge of Oscar wins counts as knowledge outside of the film, so a quiz on a single film that contains one Oscar question may be viewed as unfair by players who don't care about Oscar statistics, leading to poorer ratings, etc. (It's different if you're writing an entire quiz about the Oscars, as anyone who plays such a quiz can safely be presumed to care.)
LT's idea about covering the Oscar win in the quiz is still a good one, but I would try to craft the question so that it can be answered based on knowledge of the movie, and cover the Oscar win in the interesting information for that question.

Sorry i didn't make myself clearer. I did indeed mean to suggest that the Oscar award should be referred to, not that it should form the actual quesiton. It's hard to be precise without knowing which award is under discussion. If the film won an award for costumes, for example, I would think that a question that says that and then asks who was responsible for the costumes would fit the guidelines, since that information is available in the credits. I personally don't pay attention to those credits, though! I might be more likely to say they won an award for costumes, and then ask something about the costumes that was memorable.

Well, the rule about credits surely doesn't apply to the Oscar subcategories and related subdirectories.

Gracious, as I indicated in my message, the rule doesn't apply if you are writing an entire quiz about the Oscars, or to any quiz where it is clear from the context that knowledge outside of the films will be required. For instance, the rule also doesn't apply if it is clear from your quiz title or introduction that you are writing a 'behind-the-scenes' quiz about the making of a film. Players who play such quizzes will not expect to be able to answer the questions from having watched the film and its credits.

As far as I can tell, no one has done a movie with a woman's name in the title. I can do that one.
