There's a big gap of time between November (QuiMo) and July, the Lounge's anniversary month.

I would very much like to do something next month, even if it's something small, to encourage a bit more quiz-writingness than usual, simply because there's a blank spot in there. Part III of AA is still being set up and all other major authoring plans are being slated for later in the year.

What would you all like to do for February?

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Maybe to complete a certain number of quizzes at different levels: 1, 2, or 5?

It might be nice to bring more of a challenge into it, such as writing in different categories, or using author challenges for a certain number? Or beginning with a different letter, and so on and so forth. So it's a bit less challenging than being given a commission title, but a bit extra from NaQuiWriMo.

I was thinking during a walk today, maybe a bucket-style challenge where everyone has to contribute and there will be a checklist of requirements that need to be tossed into the bucket to finish it off.

For instance:
A quiz in every category
Two team quizzes
A quiz with sunglasses
Five Author Challenge quizzes
etc.

We'd need a certain amount of quizzes by the end of the month (maybe 120?) and a number could just be miscellaneous quizzes that don't need to fit the reqs.

Just an idea.

Let's make it a no-dibs challenge. Produce your quiz and post in the thread that you hope it fits, like the Quiz-o-metre. If someone beats you to a category entry, your quiz can still be part of the assorted extras.

It would be no-dibs; I'm trying to make this as open as possible so that people don't feel way too pressured (except at the end when we realize we only have one quiz left and it needs to be an Author Challenge AND a Commission quiz). ;)

February has Valentine's Day, President's Day, Groundhog Day, Ash Wednesday, Purim, Waitangi Day, Mardi Gras, SuperBowl and...lest we not forget, "International condom day". (I swear, it's listed). I thought it was African-American Awareness Month too?
