Subject: Bob114 and just getting started

Just tried to look up the word blog in the three dictionaries I have, and much to my surprise not one of them had it listed.

So an internet search turned up the word blog is short for weblog. It's been around from the late 90's as I recall. I feel so much better, now that I know.

All that being said, a blog can only be successful if it has input, in my humble opinion.

Won't you please join me and consider this your blog as well? Stop by and say hello, write whatever is on your mind, make a comment or whatever.

Across the street neighbor rang my doorbell about 8:30AM this morning, asking if I heard anything during the night. I answered that I had not.

Imagine my shock when he told and showed me that someone had stolen the custom wheels he had on his truck and left it on blocks. They also took some stereo equipment he had on the inside.

I helped him clean up the glass from the broken side window and he has already put the original wheels back on.

Sad thing that things like this happen, but they do and we have to handle them the best way we can.

Went to the VA this morning for blood work. While there, I saw to Veterans I haven't seen for years.

The first was George, who used to work at the same nursing home as I. He had a stroke some years ago and was there for some treatment. We instantly recognized each other and spoke for about 5 minutes.

The second was Brian, who lives in the neighborhood and cuts some grass at times for people. He was in for some therapy for his shoulder.

It was so nice to see and talk with them. Reminds me that you never know who you might run into.
