Ok, whats everyone reading now, and how are you liking it, would you recommend it?

I am re-reading Stephen Kings' "The Stand", I read it years ago as a young teen, and it went over my head, so I thought I'd give it another shot, now that Im older and wiser(?). Wish Me Luck! S.

Have read a couple of Stephen King books and loved
"Needful things" can someone give me a brief outline
of the Dark Tower series?

Julie,
I think it would be really hard, for me anyway, to give a 'brief outline' of Dark Tower. Why don't you check Wiki and just glimpse at the synopsis of the series, it shouldn't give too much away. Someone else may jump in here and give it to you also.

Right now I'm reading "Fade" by Robert Cormier. About 100 pages into it now. Pretty good so far. Hope it stays this way.

MaggieG - Crais's stand alone books are really good also! I started the 1st book of the Cole series but couldn't keep interested. Is it good enough I should try again?

I dind't like the "Inside Inside" that I was reading so I am now reading "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. It is really good. I can't sleep anyway so I'm sure I'll finish it tonight.

I just finished "Speak". I highly reccommend it for anyone that is looking for something to read. It is about a teenager that was raped so I think for some people it could be therapeutic to read it. (I'm studying to be a counselor so that's why I say that).

vampiregirl8 I am currently reading a book of Edgar Allan Poe's best poems and short stories, and a biographical-type book about Jack the Ripper.

ladylmk58 I just read Speak (picked it up at the library yesterday). It is a very good book - even tho I've been out of high school for over twen....for a few years. I noticed the author has more books out. I also got and started reading Jeffrey Archer's new one, A Prisoner of Birth. I really like his novels!

I just finished "Fade" by Robert Cormier. I liked it.

Now I'm going to start "Iron Lake" by William Kent Krueger. I have to read "Iron Lake" because its author is coming to my town’s public library about a month from now for a book signing and I've volunteered to sell books.

I've just finished my regular read through of Jane Austen with the introductions. So of course I move to swords and sorcery with the Elenium and Tamuli by David Eddings.

I recently read " The Meadow " by James Galvin. As soon as I finished reading it I picked it and read it again. An absolute gem of a book.

I just finished Georgette Heyer's "Faro's Daughter." I finished it in just a few hours. I loved it! Her regency novels remind me of Austen's works.
