Subconsciously speaking
Im beginning to believe that all people really are connected through their subconscious.
Sometimes, not very often, I get a feeling when I look at something - a photo, a particular shade of colour, an old building - it could be anything. Its a feeling of familiarity. Its different from dejavu because I can only remember the feeling while Im looking at the object/place/colour etc. Its a feeling I cant describe and its fleeting and hard to hold on to. I could look at the thing thats causing me to feel this for a long time and not get tired of it. It seems like a feeling that is unique to me. I cant imagine anyone else feeling this particular feeling.
Today, I was surfing the net, searching for digital art. When I came across this picture, I got that peculiar familiar feeling.

In particular, it has to do with the water rushing up to the corner of the shore, being blocked by the cliffs. It also has something to do with the lighting. It reminds me of some place or some time that Ive been before.
Of course, Ive never been to the place portrayed in the picture because its a fantasy location, a non-existent place. Well, not exactly. It exists in the mind of the person who created this piece of art. And this is why I believe that were all connected somehow. How could someone else create something from their imagination which is so overwhelmingly familiar and personal to ME? I believe the person who created this picture and I have access to this feeling through our subconscious. Who knows, maybe we even knew each other in a previous life or maybe weve met each other in our lucid dreams.
In any case, whether real or not, I like pondering these things....

Have you looked up the Akashic records? There are theories whether or not we are even seperate bodies or only one, our minds are only partly separated from others and can learn to join with all. Telepathy is one route and I have enough experience of it to believe your experience is closer to reality than the usual one, and maybe we're all working towards being of one mind sooner or later.

I think you're right about being of one mind sooner or later, Sat. (Actually I think we already are of one mind but most of us don't yet realise it.) Thanks for reminding me about the Akashic records - I've heard of them but haven't read anything in detail about them. I'm going to google them now.
