  • Dear Stonewallfan,
I haven't had a chance to take your
quiz yet, but I loved the series & look
forward to your quizzes. I'm writing to
see how you are doing with planning your
tour of Gettysburg etc.? Be sure to see
the Cyclorama which is near the visitor's center. You've seen parts of
it in books. It is so wonderful! There
is one of the Battle of Atlanta in GA.
Be sure to see Robert E. Lee's H.Q.
I think the Virginia monument is the best of them. I'll try to send you more
    suggestions. Have you considered a
career as an historian & biographer?
If so, be sure to study geography and
cartography in school if possible. It
helps to understand the decisions &
    choices made in war, etc.
    Today's question: What European army
    officer toured the Shenandoah Valley
between the World Wars to study Stone-
wall's campaign first hand? He became
famous in WWII. Hope to hear back.Bye.

  • Thanks for the extra info about Gettysburg, I appreciate it. I'm getting really excited about seeing it. Yes, I would love to be a historian or biographer...we'll see what God has in store for me! I LOVE the Horatio Hornblower series, save a few parts of some of the middle episodes. I hope to write more quizzes on Horatio.

I'll try to get an answer to your question...thanks!!
