Why does almost every1 like Harry Potter?
Whoa....I always see people at school and on here talking about Harry Potter....I dont think its like the greatest book ever..I mean for one the pages are soooo long to read and there are like a whole bunch of series to it..like 9 books or something? And if u want to get into harry potter you have to read the first book, then the 2nd and then the 3rd, etc,etc,etc....But thats not my point...my point is that...my point is..my point is..oh yea, my point is that..umm..wait, o.k..lol.... My question is "Why does like every1 like Harry Potter?" Is it the books that they like or the movies? I`ve seen one of the movies and...lets just say I dont know why I wasted my money to see it...I`ve read the first book and it was like sooo long..it took me like 3 months to read it..yea, i know thats a long time! thats probably because I didn`t read it every day.....I personally think that the books (well the first book) was boring and the movie (one of the movies) is just...doesnt have much detail in it....so what makes u think all the other ones will have more excitment in it? But, thats just my opinion...

1.i really dont know why, but maybe its the whole magic thing. I always think it would be cool to be one and actually have a Hogwarts.
2. I like both, but the books are better....more detailed
3. Like i said the books. They leave out a lot of the stuff in the book. But not important details. In the movies they give you the main details and sometimes add other stuff.

Before I answer your questions, I'm just wondering what books you read if you think the first HP book is too long- it's around 300 pages. That isn't long at all. And I guess it depends on the movie you saw... Prisoner of Azkaban was the best.
1. Why do You think alot of people like Harry Potter? I don't really care why other people like it. I think they're well-written, EXTREMELY thought-out and interesting to read.
2. Is it the books or the movies that you guys like? I love the books, and the movies are all right. Like I said, the third one (PoA) is the best movie.
3. Which shows more details, the books or the movies? The books, definitely. And although most of the cast are good actors, some of them weren't casted well for their part. The movies just aren't very good. If you want anything to do with the series, I'd say to start with the books.

I don't think that hp is boring! It's not the best book I've ever read, but it's still a pretty good series. I think you should read more of the books or watch more of the movies before you say that they are boring. I thought they were going to be boring too. But then I read the first few books and they're pretty good.
1. I think people like Harry Potter because um... well... I like them because I've just always liked books with magic in them. And the author is really talented. The books are just so... interesting.
2. Personally, I like the books better because they have more detail to them. The movies just leave out so much information that you need to fully understand what is happening.
3. Like I said the books are way more detailed. The movies leave everything out.
I think you should give HP another chance before you dis it.

1. Why do You think alot of people like Harry Potter? I think a lot of people like the books because the author did such a good job writing them. In my opinion they're the best written books ever! She's definetly my favorite author.
2. Is it the books or the movies that you guys like? The books are like 1,000 times better. I don't really like the movies though because like mikyrox said the movie leaves out way too much info. But I think it would be hard to write a movie for these well detailed books.

the moment i opened HP, wow, i cant just put it down, but probably its because, i like reading books.

People like Harry Potter because of one main and simple reason, WE ENJOY reading it ;) *see its as simple as that*

Books are good and much better, the only thing that movies can do is to make it a reality. in Books, you can explore hogwarts for yourself, or other place, and not everything that is written in the books is in the movies.

if youve read the book, it is the book, but if youre just contented with the movis, it is the movies.
for me, I prefer the book.

The movie I saw was Harry Potter and the sorcer stone or something like that....One word "Boring!" well at least it is to me...Also I saw another movie...umm...I forgot what it was called though...ugh can`t remember
