Tada!
I'm back, and mostly recovered from the loss of Mickey. (moving on before I can think about him too much...)
My surviving cats are...

Brainy the scaredy-cat and...

Tiger (on the left). Tiger is now much older and decrepit than he looks in this picture. He has a permanent condition now, plus impaired vision and other signs of age. (Boy on the right is Spook, gone two years ago.)
We traded up from dial-up to DSL, so now I'm playing around on the internet for a while. I'm supposed to be waiting for the laundry to be done and putting it in the dryer. My parents think my "night-owl" lifestyle is... weird. I don't know how else to put it.
I've gotten all sorts of things this Christmas break. Lots of DVDs that I haven't been able to watch, a new cell, video games that I haven't gotten around to playing, and INTERNET! Woohoo. I'm tired.
I slept over at a relatives house to babysit today. The baby I was sitting never sits. Eeesh. Not a surprise--he's three. My aunt thought I'd be surprised. Nah, I'm just tired. He runs around a lot, but he doesn't cause trouble unless he trips on something and falls down. Or his mommy leaves the room. The kid has serious separation issues. I have never been thankful for Land Before Time VII before this morning. He started crying because his mom was leaving, but then Little Foot and friends were running from a fire. I couldn't even get him to wave goodbye to his mom after that. That was about the most trouble he gives me, so we had a good day.
Wait...I think the laundry's done. Maybe I'll go to sleep before I start hearing things tonight.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your cats. Seems like a nice little family.
Your night-owl lifestyle is perfectly ok. Tell your family you know someone who doesn't fall asleep 'til around 8am, and they won't think you're weird at all! :o)

Thanks, bionic!
I think I'm done with the cat pictures for a bit--now that I've gotten each of the boys on at least once. I've been a night owl since I was a toddler, but that doesn't mean that I don't need sleep. When I'm at college, I can't stay awake past midnight unless I'm really, really preoccupied.
