mixed signals, confusion,,, what? what?

Well, I'm really starting to think that J (I'll call him that) was lying when he told me that he didn't feel the same as I do. Here's some evidence pointing toward falsehood:

1.   He smiles at me. I mean, he's nearly always smiling, but when he looks at me - which is a lot - he smiles. It's kinda sweet. He's got a good smile, too.

2.   Like I mentioned above, he stares at me alot. When we pass each other in the hallways, at lunch... a lot. That means something, right?

3.   I dunno, but I think when he says friends he means more. A heck of a lot more.

But, also, there are a few things that move my opinion toward he's just not that into me. Such as:

1.   He's not completely over my friend yet. He's told me this, and I can tell a bit.

But hey, three's better than one, right? And, I have something that might overpower the above. I've been talking to J and I told him that nothing was going to happen there - between him and my friend - because she's involved with someone and doesn't like him that way, etc. He asked me what he should do about it, and I told him that it's up to him, but that the best thing would be to try and move on somehow. Knowing him, I think that if he disagreed he would have flat-out denied that it was possible for him to get over her. But he didn't, which makes me think that he's thinking about it.

Also, I got to talk to him in person several times today. All in all.... Things are mostly in the positive area. And really, I'm ecstatic XD

  • Indications *seem* good, hard to tell from here. Sounds like he's working things through emotionally and that could take him some time. Still, you're doing the right thing meanwhile, being positive, being there as a friend for him... I'd say continue being patient with him and keep smiling, I really hope he's worth all the tension! All the best!
