What I Did

I decided to give the book another try and if I didn't like it, I'd force myself to read it.
After reading to pages of the prologue(set in 1600's) I skipped to chapter 1 (set in 2004).

I found it easier to read because I'm not very good at old English so didn't really understand what people in the prologue were saying, and couldn't figure out what was going on.
It's actually a really good book :]: (1)

I did that with the "Outlander" series. I couldn't get into it for the longest time. When I had nothing else to read, I tried again and couldn't put it down.

Which book is that? I tried reading Lord of the Rings (the trilogy, it's a 1000-page book), started it, too boring, left it. Then this week, I tried it again. Gave up the parts I couldn't understand and proceeded further. It's much better now.
