A Good Day and Wiifit

It's been a good day today.

Starting with a school trip with Year 1.  Had a sneaky listen to Jonathan Ross's Pod-cast on the coach journey to Hartlebury Castle and half a sandwich which I expertly ate without any of the kids seeing me.  (Reminded me of eating in class - oooh so many years ago!).

While at Hartlebury the kids were shown life in Victorian Times - the girls all became Chambermaids and the boys were Bootboys.  They cleaned carpets using tea leaves and washed clothes using a washboard and dolly.

The sneaky pod-cast on the way home was Stephen Fry's.

Collected Dyl and entered the house to find a Wiifit placed nicely in front of the telly.  With coats barely off Dyl had whipped off his shoes and socks and balanced precariously on the Wii thingy.  His Wii fit age was 19 - ten years more than his real age!  Harri came home and took over - she managed to age 15 years in the Wii world.  Eventually I managed to shoo them away long enough to have a go and joy of joys the mighty Wii considers me to be 6 - let's say it again - 6 years younger than my actual age.  The virtual world treats me well.

The best part was the praise given by the lovely lady trainer - why can't real life be as nice as the virtual world?

And now it is ten o'clock and the kids are in bed and the wine and crisps are ready to be consumed - life is good.
