You Can't Go Home Again Says Thomas Wolfe
What a nice place to come to after being away awhile. I appreciate my FunTrivia friends and their encouraging comments on my last post.
I also want to work on my novel some more, parts of which I have posted in my blog. I was telling my students today (Seniors in an ACT English Prep class) that I am working on a novel. I fear that many of them see teachers as those people who 'teach because they can't do.' That is truly disheartening. I did need the validation and encouragement of those of you who wrote to me. It seems the world is alway pulling us down. I am definitely ready to see things from a more optimistic point of view. I do want to "stop and smell the coffee" and "the roses" and all those other tired cliches'.
Here's to the glass being 'half full.'
Blessings to you all!

Now there's a 'novel' idea! ;)
I need to read through your blog now! :)
What response did you have from your students regarding your novel?
Maybe there are some that Do see teachers as being more than capable of the doing as well as the telling....might lead to some interesting discussions.
And remember when you stop to smell the roses on your leisurely walk, and inhale that glorious aroma as you take the first sip of your morning coffee.....a half Empty glass can always be refilled! :)

Bring on that novel, girl! I've read a bit of your stuff, and I can't wait for more. Glad to see you here!
Waiting...:)

OH, just so you know...You CAN go home, or wherever you choose whenever you choose! Stop and smell anything you want, but keep moving! :)

Hi Karen,
How's your month progressing?
Seniors Can be terribly painful - but somehow you Can come out the other end with a sense of achievement!
Keep reminding yourself that you are doing something very special: moulding and shaping the Little Darlings you face daily - they just don't appreciate that yet! :)
