Multiple realities
Firstly I am in the middle of a reality shift if not solved, where real life doesn't correspond with what it should. Last year I was in the car with my father when I passed a bunch of signs on the central reservation and suddenly saw an old red triangle sign on it, one at the time of only two known in London. This is the other and has a bit missing.

For whatever reason we couldn't stop and somehow forgot to make a note of the location when we got back. Some time later I went back where I thought it was but nothing, and then worked my way round dual carriageways we'd passed leading to roundabouts but nothing. Now I've found a handful of photos of the area around that time with nothing there, meaning if we both got the location wrong it would have explained why I hadn't seen it before, passing it fairly often, but also although we both thought it was there if not then still haven't a clue where it is. Reality shifts can be good when they show us the flexible nature of reality, but not when it loses something you need. I'm still making enquiries and being on an extremely busy road someone should remember it eventually.
On other business, we've just been hit with millions in more green taxes. A new car will have a £3300 tax added and petrol will double. That may guarantee the government lose next spring and leaves the question will the new lot of baskets keep it as well? Also will they manage to introduce it before they are kicked out or get saved by the bell? It's dead quiet here otherwise, and the dark days mean paperwork should start soon as planned. The rest isn't planned besides getting the house ready for the arrival of a whole family when it was expected to be cleared out by then. Talk about paying a price for a benefit.
As far as the reality shifts are concerned, I think we've all seen something in a room, returned and found it gone, and then found it again. One theory is there are other realities, and we switch in and out and when we do they seem the same until we notice a difference, and then go back and it corrects itself. If we learn to see the transition we will stop being confused by it. It makes sense from my own experience as I've also read a good few reports of people dying- Cyril Smith, Vivienne Westwood, Mr T and others only to find them alive years later. If there are other realities then you could slip there and find many things are different although it looks the same. I don't know which obituary would turn out to be false so can't keep every one I read just in case, or I could have showed the ones I know I have read. You can't invent reading Cyril Smith's life story and subsequent death in a paper even though he is currently alive.
Maybe there's even a reality where CO2 increases temperatures, but I don't think it stretches that far.

Reading this led me to Google (I agree with you about Cyril Smith) and to a horrid site where people gamble on who will not survive each year! A favourite bet seems to be dear old Norman Wisdom - I'm relieved to see that people are still losing on that one!

Norman will live on along with Michael Foot and Tony Benn, but I still haven't a clue how I'm certain all these others were reported dying young, I'll add Diana Coupland who lasted about 20 years beyond when I thought I saw her demise. I must get at least some way to the bottom of these.
