After my original complex route to three road signs while looking for one, which to me showed every element had to be guided, it's been happening ever since. Today was a cracking example, it took some days to complete so even more complex than the first one.
Firstly someone found one in Blackheath last Monday which was on the borderline of where I bother to go. I decided I'd reached the level (as covered nearly all the area within 30 miles or so) I could stop as long as I had a complete old red triangle sign. I then had a dream (the last sign was preceeded by a dream more or less explaining what I'd find and where) seeing a bunch of red triangle and other signs, and thinking good, I don't have to go to Blackheath now. The actual message was I should go to Blackheath or I wouldn't bother, so did and was fine as went on a Sunday. Then someone posted a red triangle sign near me but taken in 1982. Normally that would have been the end of it but this was on a private road where there was no reason to remove them. Having done Blackheath I was still 'down south' so went the few miles to the location in Surrey just in case, although I'd been there a number of times for events (it's a bus museum) without noticing anything.
As soon as I reached the (locked) gates, not the one in the photo, but in more or less the same place was one of the rarest ones of all, a bend sign. It had lost its triangle but although transport museums often display old signs outside as part of their exhibits this was not a pristine refurbished job in a bunch of others bearing no relation to their location, but a rusting old one with its top missing on a sharp right bend as indicated. This was the original sign for the traffic using the place as besides the few people allowed to use it is where the buses drive in for repair and display, meaning all drivers need warning of the sharp bend ahead.
I got a rough photo as the gate stopped me getting any closer, but perfectly clear. I asked them to arrange a visit and smoothed the issue by offering to pay for a repair. They have thanked me and will let me know. I hadn't even bothered looking in the whole of Blackheath as I wasn't planning to go there but was added when I needed one, and had the old one in Surrey not been added may never have known as had no more need to go there yet again. Had the Surrey been added first, just like the dream, I may not have bothered to go to Blackheath, which was a lot easier to get to (despite taking 90 minutes each way including a few short photo stops) than I'd expected. So besides the two photos arriving the timing had to be just right or I'd have gone to the other one and as the dream indicated, not been bothered to get the other which technically is unique unlike the bend one.
I am now awaiting the guidance in every other area as I'd had a good 49 years of total chaos till then, although it did include many phases of similar events they were far from helpful besides showing it was possible.
