The pictures on the walls I see
Quietly stare back at me
A moment captured from the past
Preserved in time to make them last
As I look upon the faces
I recall the times and places
Happy moments thought of well
Captured by the cameras spell
With loved ones in each photograph
I sometimes cry, and sometimes laugh
They surely comfort earnestly
As each one sits awhile with me
Some passed on, some just away
I reach across the miles each day
The faces that are on my wall
Remind me that I love them all

My favorite, so far! I have a little blank space...not much.

"A moment captured from the past preserved in time to make them last"...What a marvellous line Bob! That's one which is going to stay in my head every time I look at my photographs.xx

This one moves me Bob and makes me think of my Father who wouldn't look at photos, because he said it always made him sad. His reasoning being the person in the photo no longer exists as time alters people so much. He would have loved this poem. thanks for taking the time to write them. Garry

I 'talk' to one particular photo of my father everyday. It's on the wall by my chair and I often take my troubles and joys there to share with him. Thank you, Bob, and now I am teary. You and Garry have a way of doing that to me.
