Well of Hope
Wellspring
She walks miles along the dust filled road
Withered hands and withered soul
Hard drawn face, life takes a toll
Famine rapes the fertile vine
Clad in colored patterns bright
Darkened heart, desperate plight
Governments and armies raging
Despairing heart, constant weeping
Disease and famine creeping
Dying children, hunger plagues
Parched savannah
Hopeless
Fear
And then
She draws water from the well
And turns around again

Sorry, not the women of MY world. I like the idea, but not the idea...You know? I'm thinking, maybe it is some other world. Not one I'm a part of.
I appreciate the sharing of your talent.

A reminder of the things we all take for granted. I like that, Bob.
