Nursing school update
I just wanted to let everyone know that I got into the school
that I wanted to. I was very nervous when the letter came because I thought it was bad news. The
envelope was so thin and I had heard before that a thin envelope means bad news. When I did work up
the nerve to open it, good news awaited me and I am now a member of the AMH DSON class of 2011. I
want to thank those of you who wished me luck and offered encouragement and support. Your kind words
have really meant a lot to me.

My sister-in-law finished her first year of nursing last year - she has wanted to study for nursing since she was in primary school - now at 42 with 5 children, two step children and a wonderfully supportive husband - she's loving it!

Congratulations Katie! That's excellent news! I'm sure you worked very hard to get in, and raising a daughter at the same time could not have been easy. I wish you all the best in Nursing School :-)

Thanks all! Your well wishes mean a lot to me. I hope I can hold up to their standards. So far, it hasn't been that hard with juggling it all and Koty, but this part is probably going to be more difficult. I am grateful for my wonderful support system of family and friends.
