A Better Way Of Life
I spent a great deal of today considering my life and what I desire from my future.
In the last year, I realized I lost some of my peace. While the medical issues did cause a ripple in my life, they did not disturb my peace.
I spent a few hours meditating and considering options. I have many options. I could choose to not be a part of Fun Trivia and, thus, have time for other responsibilities or pleasures. I could give up the desire to sell my jewelry and other crafts and just do something else. I can do exactly as I please and do everything I choose. After all, it is my life.
I am many ethnic backgrounds. My people come from all over the world. Of these backgrounds, I have selected to practice Buddism and the American Indian way of life. Then, I was centered and nothing could cause a disturbance in my life. Yes, I still encountered "issues" but, due to my choices, could also help these issues on their way and not allow them to create any more of a ripple than I desired.
I will continue to post in my blog. I will post what I please in my blog.
I will also continue with the desire to sell my jewelry and other crafts. I will continue to do anything and everything I choose.
If I wish to refer to myself as "Mistress of my Domain", I shall do so. What I do is always up to me as it is a part of me and no one else.
This blog will remain a place of peace. That is my nature and I will not deviate from it again.
If you wish to enter my place of peace, I welcome you in peace.
I leave you, for now, with these words. They are from Chief Seattle of the Suquamis. They belong to him and I have only borrowed them for this time.
"All things share the same breath - the beast, the tree, the man....the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.
Man does not weave this web of life. He is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself."

I am glad you decided to post again.
I didn't know you were part Native American. I am too! My paternal grandmother was born on a Cherokee Indian reservation.
I am sure that your jewelry will make you lots of money.

Katie, we may be related. I am Cherokee and Blackfoot Indian.
I hope to make enough money to create a lovely nest egg. With today's economy, every penny helps.

I, too, am glad to see your blog back.
Chief Seattle's words are profoundly moving.
Thanks
