It's All Good

Life is truly interesting.

I thought I had February all planned.  I had forms to create for one person so she can keep track of consignment items.  Yes, it is the consignment woman who requested I help her.  If my creating a few forms will help her with her business, why not.  She asked what I wanted in return.  I said nothing.  After all, even though we won't be using her at present, there could be a time in the future when a business relationship would develop.  I truly believe if she had a more control over her stock, she would not seem so overwhelmed.  Forms are easy...well, for me, that is to say.

Then there are a couple of seminars and guest speaker programs we scheduled as the subjects are of interest.

The month is a short month.  Those extra two or three days can make a difference.

I also want to get our books for last year closed as we finally resolved "The Case of the Missing Two Weeks of Mail".  No, we never received the missing mail.  However, I was able to fill in the gaps so no worries on that matter.  I also need to start the books for this year.  Well, they are started, I just need to build the binder and do a bit of filing.

The taxes were done last month and we should receive our refunds within the next week or so.

I still need to schedule dental surgery but that is not a complex item.  As far as doctors, I only need one to prescribe my thyoid meds and check my blood for levels.  Everything else is resolved.  Yes, I still may have pain periodically.  This is due to my desire to be busy and I often do more than I should.  However, it is my life and I will live it.

So, after a few emails to gather information and a few emails to have questions answered and then another few emails to confirm things, I am to a point where my days will pretty much take care of themselves.

Housework in the townhouse is a piece of cake...red velvet cake.

Don't know anything more about the dogs next door.  At least there is now evidence they are being fed and watered.  That is a relief.

Vacation was gone too fast.  Some things were not accomplished but there were road trips we did not plan.   So, it all worked out.

I also need to create a few Valentine's Day cards as there has been interest in those as well.

It appears there may be more than my jewelry that could be sold.  Cool!

The weather is outstanding.  Nice days, a bit of a breeze.  No snow....yet.  Frankly, we could have snow in April.

Ooops, must go.  The phone is demanding I answer it.

Later!

  • Sounds like you have your month all planned out. I find it difficult sometimes to plan out my day, lol. I still have my fingers crossed and hope that you do sell your jewelry, but if you can sell your cards thats cool.
    Cheers

  • Did someone say cake?

Seriously, even though the month is shorter, you won't even notice it.

  • Yep, I said cake and brownies too.

Unfortunately, I do notice February. It kicks due dates on bills and projects out of whack.

However, I shall handle it as I usually do and will whip it into submission.

  • Ooh cake!
Good news about the dogs. Long may it continue.
    I wish I was organised.

  • Spice cake with cream cheese frosting.

Hubby has dark chocolate brownies with dark chocolate chips and walnuts.

I wish I could share. Then we could go for a walk and burn off the calories. It is a beautiful day for a walk.

  • Brownies are one of my weaknesses. I could seriously eat like five of them especially since yours have nuts in them.

Do you make everything from scratch or mixes?

Tomorrow my private tournament is going to be about cakes. It seems like people really enjoyed the cookie one. If you want to play it, the link is in my profile.

  • PS Sorry - I meant to remark on your kindness in helping the consignment woman. I shall be interested to know what progress you make - and what progress she makes.
    Someone say brownies?

  • Well, I look at it this way. If my spending an hour or two making inventory sheets or other forms will help her, why not. My time is pretty much my own, I enjoy helping others, and considering she is trying to get more control over her shop, what the heck.

  • The best way to look at it. :)
