Names
Cag was talking about the three names he is known by and it made me think of when my twins were babies. They had a language of their own. They called me hey you, we never could figure out why but there was no doubt who they meant. They called each other didily dee and food was ugums. They had many more words and were so able to talk to one another that they didn't seem to have a need to talk to the rest of us. Though somewhat delayed in speaking our language, when they finally got around to it they could not be stopped. Now 33 years old they are unstoppable energetic young men and can talk to anyone about anything for as long as you want. We can visit for hours and it is such a pleasure. We have a large tree in the front yard and when it is warm they come down and invite all their old friends over, get a case of beer and the party is on, before you know it you are laughing until the beer comes out of your nose. The neighbors come over and the next thing we have built a big fire in the back yard and the party may go on all night long. I never tire of it and when I am lucky enough to have all four boys home I am in hog heaven as is their mother and Julie, who is the anointed one as far as her brothers are concerned. I don't know how I wondered so far off the subject of names, and I think I know from where their verbosity comes.

Wow, four brothers! I am an only child, and as a kid, I always wanted an older brother, or two. I know Julie must be proud...at least most of the time.

I'm glad yours turned out the way they did. We had friends whose twin boys had their own secret language; and, 20 years later, had to keep calling the police to prise the boys apart and stop them killing each other.

The only person I ever knew with a boat (and it was a model one, not teeny but only about a metre long) called it the Oxymoron... And was in the process of building another, which I suggested he call the Cariadget (mix of Cariad - Welsh for love or darling, and gadget)
I have been nominated to be Lesley's 'envelope' lol so will await the announcement with bated breath...

I like Cariadget but that would take a lot of paint. I was thinking sue as that is Carols middle name and quite short. But Susie is cuter but Julie would feel left out, oh my.
