Tired but Alive
I am awake for longer portions of time now, actually only requiring one or two naps instead of sleeping for most of the day, and am once again enjoying solid food. Still have very little energy, though - am often using the cane even around the house, which I never used to need to do. But the doctor's words still echo in my head: "This is very serious. If you had waited one more day..."
Am very, very thankful just to be alive. :)

It's only been a few days, so it's hardly surprising that you're exhausted, but good that you can already see an improvement in your sleep patterns. I do hope your family's company helped.
Do we ever learn from this sort of thing, to try and take better care of ourselves? stop muttering that it's nothing that a nice cup of tea and a good night's sleep won't cure? I'm not sure, but I'm trying!

If sleep helps, don't resist. Recovery takes time.
Good health to you.

Using 'Candy' as a helping hand and eating real food again is a huge leap. :)
Be kind to yourself Beth and don't try to rush recovery of what is obviously a serious illness.
