A Tale of Two Kitties....and Me

Bubba's Diet (Day Three) - and My Heart

Bubba is begging this morning.  He has pushed his food bowl into the middle of the kitchen and is pacing from the bowl to me and back again...yowling.  He is used to there always being crunchies in his dish.  (When it was empty, I'd fill it, which is how he got to be The Incredible 20-Pound Kitty!)  He loves the new food I bought him...he just wishes there was a lot more of it!

I've been wearing the little heart monitor for over a week now.  There have been no further 'fluttering' episodes to record and show the doctor.  While this is a relief, it also worries me.  What if the doc thinks I was fibbing?  I would almost like it to happen at least once more, so he can tell me what's going on.

Aw...Bubba has given up and toddled off to his window alcove for a nap.  And now...it's almost his breakfast time!

  • Beth, how would you know about the "fluttering" of your heart unless it happened? You would not have thought of it in the first place.

I love how Bubba lets you know what he is thinking. I wonder how fast he will move when his bowl has food it in. Then again, he could act all disinterested to see what you will do. Cats!

  • Oh, he runs to the dish twice a day when I put food in it. (Seems like such a tiny serving, but I am following instructions.) He did have one tiny piece of shredded cheese from my taco today. He has earned it.

  • I wouldn't be worried about the doctor not believing you Beth - he fixed the monitor to Monitor! :)

If the flutters were as a result of a virus sometimes it Just vanishes - as mine did.

And if you're feeling more relaxed, maybe you haven't Noticed every flutter.

As for the Amazing Soon-to-be-Shrinking Bubba - he doesn't sound too upset, he's got his personal window alcove, and you! Lucky Kittie. :)

  • It's very good that the fluttering has ceased.

Can you increase Bubba's activity? My cat has little interest in toys, but he will play fetch with a Kitty-Kong. I think it's helping.
