A Tale of Two Kitties
I have been battling stomach pain this week. Not a sick stomach - more like a kangaroo kicked it. It feels better if I can keep a bit of food in it, but once it starts hurting, eating is not an appealing thought. Anyhow, Bubba has been staying pretty close to me, following me to bed when I lie down for frequent rests. He is my old cuddly boy at these times. Other times... not so much. The other day, he growled at Rocky and then walked away. Instead of meekly taking it like he used to do, Rocky followed him - and swatted him! Of course, he got hit back, but then Rocky hissed! I was so proud of him for sticking up for himself!
Yesterday, I got the boys a pirate ship/kitty fort. Bubba adopted it immediately - and didn't want to share:

I love hearing about Bubba and Rocky. It will take time and I an looking forward to the time both of them are curled up, sharing the pirate ship which is so cute. I hope you are feeling better.

I like the look on Rocky's face...almost like he is saying "just wait, Bubba, you will want to play and snuggle with me sooner than you think."
Thanks for the stories of Bubba and Rocky.
I hope you find out what is going on with your stomach. Have you been taking any vitamins or meds which could be giving you a bad reaction? Perhaps even a food allergy. Keep us posted.

I have to take an aspirin a day - prescribed by the doctor - and my cholesterol pill. I am trying to relax more, now that bat season is over. Living in a constant state of alertness and fear didn't help matters any. Antacids do not help, but I bought some fudge-sickles that are very soothing, lots of soup and some pretzels. The stomach pain was fairly intermittent until last week, when I had the (not) good sense to eat chicken breasts stuffed with pepperjack and jalapenos. They were delicious, but oh boy, have I been paying for it!

My husband had two serious bouts with his stomach after eating jalapenos. He was in the emergency room 5 hours each time. Hot peppers are not allowed in my house now even though he loves them.

Beth, the more I think about the title of this particular blog, the more I believe it would make an excellent book/story line.
"A Tale (Tail) of Two Kitties"....just catches the eye and the imagination.

Lol - maybe I should use it for the new title of my currently title-less blog!

Puurrrffect! I love how you added the "and me". What about "and Beth"? After all, you are the leader of the group (don't tell Bubba I said that please. I would not wish to make him hiss at me).
The new title is wonderful....lol.

Ummm...Maybe Rocky needs his own Pirate Ship! Side by side, that would be interesting! Fun to see Bubba trying to 'claim' both!
Psst, Rocky, jump up on top, and ROCK!

Here we go again - Beth, please tell someone you've been attacked by a kangaroo. It could be a reaction to aspirin or cholesterol pills or vitamins or food, or it could be a kangaroo got too close and you've forgotten about it, but please don't let it go on for ever. Do as I say, not as I do, and look after yourself.

Hope you're feeling more You today Beth. :)
The Boys seems to be sorting things out well - I agree with Lesley about Rocky climbing to the top of the 'Pirate Ship' but my thought was....'I'm the King (Cat) of the Castle'! :D
And watch those kangaroos..... I'll Ban any more exports! ;)
