Again? Really?
Yesterday, I broke another tooth. It was the tooth that caused all the trouble a couple of months ago - ground zero for that infection I had. It didn't hurt when it broke, didn't hurt for most of today, but now...my face is starting to swell. Oh, joy. Back on the antibiotics and crossing my fingers this won't be a repeat performance!

Oh dear Beth! ((((((hugs))))))
Poor you. Hopefully early antibiotics dosing will manage the problem quickly.:)
Then maybe a blender and lots of straws...... ;)

I have some Breyers Vanilla Bean ice cream in the freezer. If I mush it up a little, to the consistency of custard, maybe it will make good medicine, too!

The calcium in dairy (particularly ice cream) is supposed to be very good for mouth problems!
Be good and take your medicine! :)

Do you have a medical card? It should cover an emergency visit to the dentist. I think.

No, not yet. That's part of my problem. When I was approved for Disability, they sent me a temporary medical card, which was then to become permanent. But due to several mistakes (theirs) and a misunderstanding (mine), several months later I am still waiting for coverage.
There was a dentist who agreed to see me right after I got out of the ICU. My mouth is my Achille's Heel. Most of the teeth are broken or have cavities. But the tooth in question was in such bad shape that he said he couldn't pull it - it would require an oral surgeon. The dentist is the one who gave me extra antibiotics, just in case something like this happened. In general, I am used to my mouth. It doesn't usually cause serious problems. If the antibiotic kicks in, I should be able to hang on until the card comes. I think.

Hug!
Breyers Vanilla Bean ice cream. Won't that hurt more?
Hugs!
Will the dentist refer you to an oral surgeon?
More hugs!
Do you need to call about the card and see the current status of it being sent to you?
No more ouches, Beth.
