I Just Like It

Music...
What a great way to express your inner feelings. Well, that's what they say anyhow. Me? I just love the stuff. I am by no means a music aficionado, I don't collect albums, CD's or stuff by bands or artist's that never made it to the top ten. I'm pretty simple. I hear a song, like it, buy it. It doesn't matter to me whether I buy the whole CD or just a single. I just like it.

And I'm music versatile. Like right now, I'm listening to Led Zep's "Whole Lotta Love". In an hour I might be listening to 50 Cent's "Candy Shop" or maybe Brad Paisley's "Alcohol", or even possibly Beethoven's "Fur Elise". Whatever the mood may be, that's what I'm into at the moment. Even blues and jazz.

My daughter, who is 8, is learning to be the same way. She likes country, hip-hop, classic rock. And is in the band playing an instrument.  Maybe someday she'll be in a famous band or a solo singer.

Makes you wonder where the world would be without music.
I'd hate to find out.

  • I'd be very comfortable at your place, crzyldync. The music in my walls is never the same thing twice in any 12-hour period. I like it all (well, I usually skip on the hip hop stuff, but I'm sure I'd find something to like about even that if I tried harder). Music is divine, I think. It can enhance a mood or, more often than not, create one than wasn't there before the tunes began. At least it does that for me.

  • It does the same thing for me also Gatsby. Except country, some of it I have to avoid like the plague because it will depress the heck outta me! But music for me is a comfort. I can pick out what I want to match my mood. I'm not into all the hip hop stuff, I actually stumbled on to 50 Cent by accident. I was burning a CD for my nephew and two of the songs he wanted on it were by them. I loved them when I heard them.
Comfortable in my house? Well, if ya don't mind a few dirty dishes, and 8 year old, a couple of cold Bud Lights in the fridge, and day old pizza, we could listen to some great stuff! Maybe a little AC/DC, Big and Rich, 50 Cent (I'll break you in slow on them LOL), or maybe a little Lionel Ritchie. (that's the stuff to calm me right down).
Music, I couldn't imagine a life without it.
