I have recently been amusing myself viewing some of the entries on www.uglydress.com (ugly bridesmaids dresses!) and http://www.disturbingauctions.com/ (ugly knicknacks sold on Ebay).
People actually make and buy this stuff?

I saw those a while back, and I realized that the old saying that brides tended to get their bridesmaids ugly dresses so they didn't steal her thunder, must be right!
Some of them looked like curtains.
