US Elections-Tuesday's the Day

I hope that everyone in the US eligible to vote on Tuesday will do so.  It's so very important-this may be one of the most important elections in a long time.  The composition of the Congress and the Senate is at stake.  Not happy with the war?  Don't agree with the President's economic policies?  Feel like US foreign policy is an embarrassment?  Vote!  Happy with how things are going in our country?  Think Mr. Bush has done a good job?  Then by all means vote to support him.  Just vote.  Think your vote doesn't count?  Ask Al Gore.

We have young men and women dying in Iraq every day.  We need to clean it up and get out of there.  How to do it?  Who has the answers?  You decide for yourself-but vote.  It's  the only weapon you have, the only power.  There was a presidential election in Nicaragua yesterday.  People lined up for hours to vote, and some were even turned away.  They know that their vote is precious.  Please don't throw yours away.

  • It was great to see that people in the United States voted in what seems to be record numbers, and that there will be changes. One already, Mr. Rumsfeld is leaving his post as Secretary of Defense.

  • I'm British and very relieved that Americans have finally expressed their feelings about George Bush's policies. Now we British need to do the same regarding Tony Blair!
