What Animal Am I?
I am the mammal that is found most commonly throughout the world. I have made many animals extinct while trying to make a larger place for me to live. Who am I? | Perfect Animals

Humans. Humans are great, I mean, I'm one myself. We just need to take better care of the Earth that we've been blessed us with.

Well... Our adventure is almost through, but I'm sure we have time for one more quick sighting before we go home for dinner. Squirrel. Well... that was certainly a great adventure! We should go again sometime! I hope you made it home in time for dinner!
Well the prairies in Alberta were truly stunning, but we still have to make it home in time for dinner. The second to last stop on our adventure is the forests in Northern Ontario! We had better be careful, some strange things lurk in these woods. Wow! Do you see that? It's a big dark brown creature, he seems to be crawling along the ground, and sort of resembles "Winnie The Pooh". What do you think he is? | A Worldwide Animal Adventure!

Black bear. Whoa! That black bear was really scary, don't you think? Black bears are omnivores, that means that they eat both meats, and vegetables. Just like most of us! You shouldn't really get too close to a black bear though... They can get kind of angry!
Well, Alaska was fun, but a little too cold for me. Our next stop is Alberta! It shouldn't be too cold there, right? Let's go wandering around the prairies, they are bound to be filled with wildlife! Shh! Be really quiet, I think I see something rustling in the grass over there! It's brown, and stands on four legs, it also has antlers, and a short stubby tail. Do you know what it is?

Deer. Deer are truly amazing creatures, don't you think? But we have to be really quiet and careful around them, they get scared really easily, and they also have quite a temper! Deer are herbivores, and they like to graze areas like plains in search of grasses and berries to eat!
That creature was really cute, don't you think? I took a picture of it, to put in my scrapbook, did you? Well we left Colorado, and we are traveling north to Alaska. I think we should take a break from hiking, don't you? Let's take that boat tour, we can get a good look at the ocean. Hey! Do you see that splash out there? Wow! It's coming back! It looks like a big black fish, but it's not a fish. It's got a white belly, and a big black fin like a shark. Do you know what it is? | A Worldwide Animal Adventure!

Killer whale. The proper name for a killer whale is an orca. Did you know that orcas aren't really that mean? They can actually be quite friendly and nice to humans. That's why when you go to places like "Marine Land", killer whales are always there for shows!
Leaving China behind was really tough, but we still have many more places to visit. Our next stop is Australia! Australia has lots of deserts and barren land, but it also has a lot of wildlife! As we hike through The Outback, we notice a herd of jumping creatures. They have pouches on their bellies, and they really do love to jump! Do you know what they are? | A Worldwide Animal Adventure!

Kangaroos. Those kangaroos are truly amazing! They have big feet which they use to jump around from place to place, and nice brown coats of fur. I think that the pouches they had on their bellies were really neat too, they use those to carry around their babies, and to protect them from predators!
Africa was certainly an exciting place to visit, but we had to leave and continue on our journey around the world. Our next stop is the incredible forests of China! The trees and bushes are thick, so we had better be careful. But look! Do you see those creatures up ahead? It's a black and white mammal eating bamboo. He reminds me of "Winnie the Pooh"! Giant panda. Giant pandas are herbivores, just like giraffes! You can only find them in China, and their favourite food is the pith of bamboo. I certainly like finding them on our journey, didn't you?
Our journey begins in Africa, a land filled with deserts and jungles, and of course, a whole lot of animals! As we trek across a huge flat plain we can see in the distance two beautiful creatures! They have long necks and big brown spots, and they're much taller than we are. Can you help me name these wonderful creatures? | A Worldwide Animal Adventure!

Giraffes. Wow! Two giraffes standing right in front of us! We certainly are lucky to find such magnificent creatures on our journey. Giraffes have long necks and big brown spots. They're vegetarians too! That means that they are herbivores, so they don't eat meat like a lot of us!

Orangutan. The name orangutan means 'man of the forest' in the Malay language. Orangutans really do resemble human beings in many ways, and are very intelligent members of the primate family. Unfortunately, due to the destruction of their habitat, too few orangutans still exist in the wild. Now human beings must help them to survive with conservation programs.

Wolverine. The scientific name for the wolverine is Gulo gulo. Though they are part of the weasel family, wolverines resemble small bears. They hunt like bears too, and are much stronger and ferocious than they appear. Some wolverines, hunting in packs, can take down a moose or a polar bear.
