Vatican City . Vatican City is the smallest country in the world, and is actually located within the district of Rome. San Marino is also a very small country in Italy, and the oldest republic in the world.
France. Andorra is a small country that lies in the heart of the Pyrenees Mountains. It is situated in between France and Spain. France is bigger by only 15,157 sq. miles.
Republic of Congo. The mainland of Angola only borders Zaire, Zambia, and Namibia.
The small Angolan province of Cabinda is cut off from the mainland by Zaire, and it borders the Republic of Congo.
Niger. Another very close race with Niger at Niger: 1,266,700 sq km and Chad at 1,259,200 sq km.
Qatar. Israel doesn't border Saudi Arabia by about 20 miles.
It was a close race with Kuwait at 6,532 sq. miles and Qatar at 4,247 sq. miles.
Bahrain is an island, it has no border with Saudi Arabia.
