Bill Murray. This is the "Saturday Night Live" alum's first big screen starring role. Bill Murray is also an alum of the Second City Comedy Troupe in Chicago and a gifted improvisational comic. Later notable roles for Murray include "Stripes", "Caddyshack", "Rushmore", "Lost in Translation", "Ghostbusters I & II", and "Groundhog Day".

Tripper befreinds a lonely camper named Rudy. Early on, we see Rudy playing a sport with the other campers his age. When he scores points for the other team, his peers reject him and he walks away. What sport is Rudy playing?Meatballs

Soccer. If you recall, Rudy had never played soccer before. When Rudy inadvertantly scores an own goal, one of the other kids says "Gurner's useless," to which the jerk counselor responds "I know." The next time we see Rudy, he's got his bags packed and he's waiting on a bus to go home.

    What is Rudy's last name?Meatballs

"It just doesn't matter!". Tripper wildly rants and bangs a log from the fireplace on the floor, while the campers and staff clap and chant along. Mohawk now has no chance. Poor Mohawk. Little do they know that Northstar has what money can't buy - heart and courage.

[Fink picks up a hot dog and holds it to his ear] Tripper: "No, it's a couple of them over here, but they're saying it. "The Stomach" arrives at the competition in a chauffeured sedan.

In the inspirational finale, Rudy wins the Marathon in an amazing upset. Prior to the race, Tripper gives Rudy a pep talk in which he encourages him to think of himself as who? Meatballs

Wudy the Wabbit (Rudy the Rabbit). Against all odds, Rudy shows great heart and wins the race. A tired old Hollywood formula? maybe, but still a dang good story. Yay Wudy! Thanks for taking this stroll down memory lane with me. Thanks also to IMDB for the Tripper/Hotdog quote and some of the movie facts. Peace. Love God! Love Your Neighbor!
