He won't let him be killed, for Kim's sake. At first he tells Chase he can't be with Kim (and shoulnd't be with anyone while being a field agent) as long he's at CTU. But something changed his mind apparently...
pen. His attorney gave him a pen to sign a contract that would cut him a deal. But after Ramon says he doesn't trust his laywer to keep his mout shut, he stabs him in the throat with his own pen.

He's a drug addict. Jack had to do drugs to get close to Ramon Salazar. At the end of the season he almost takes a shot of what looks to be heroin, but right before the end hi throws it in the wall. At the start of season 2 we see him save a dose of the drug and put in back in the closet. Who knows what will happen in the following 23 hours...
She found a jacket. It's clear that some time has passed between this season and the 2nd one. Kate and Jack has been together and it looks like they've just broken up when the season starts. She calls to tell him she found a jacket he thought he'd lost.
Edmunds. The rumors for the third season hinted that his last name was Exen. Luckily, this rather morbid name was dropped. After all, this is not James Bond.

Chloe. Jack almost fires her for no reason, but Chase talks some sense into him and Jack apologizes to the poor lady.

a refrigerator. Jack and Chase find the virus 'bomb' at a school. Jack has to remove the 'bomb' from Chase's arm with an ax. Then he places the bomb (minus Chase's arm) into the refrigerator in the teacher's lounge.
Santa Barbara. Kim is used as a decoy and winds up killing Jane's covert bodyguard.

Chandler Plaza. Jack and Chase capture Amador and find schematics of the Chandler Plaza Hotel and determine that this must be the location that the virus will be released.

Kyle Singer. Kyle was carrying cocaine that was believed to be laced with the virus. It turned out to be a decoy.

Yes. Kate calls Jack in the first episode it is implied that they had some type of tryst between "Day 2" and "Day 3" that had been over sometime prior to the start of "Day 3".

Gael. Later we learn that Gael, Jack and Tony are using the Salazars to get information on the Virus.
101. Michelle was asked to be tested first by Nicole Duncan of National Health Services.
Airport security. Stephen Saunders told President Palmer to mention the phrase 'the sky is falling' during a press conference on the topic of his choice. The price of wheat and space programmes were topics suggested by Saunders.
Under Sixth Street Bridge. The original location was an industrial estate, but Jack made Tony change this to ensure CTU assistance. Ryan Chappelle was killed at the railyard while Tony received his gunshot wound at the mall.
12. One was released at the Chandler Plaza hotel (the only one successfully), 10 in other major cities around the country and a final vial pursued by CTU in Los Angeles.
