Alex Trebek. It is Alex Trebek. For the longest time I thought they were pronouncing it "Trevek". I was wrong. Apparently, Pat Sajak, the host of "Wheel of Fortune" hosted a show of "Jeopardy!". I'm not sure when this was though.

$1,155,102. By the end of season 17, the highest cumulative cash amount ever won on "Jeopardy!" was $1,155,102. This was accomplished by a man named Brad Rutter from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As a five time champion, he collected $55,102 and won a new car. He then won $100,000 in the "Jeopardy!" 2001 Tournament of Champions. After that he went on to win an additional $1,000,000 in the Million Dollar Masters Tournament. Adding in the value of the car he won for being a five time champion, this player walked away with approximately 1.2 million dollars in cash and prizes.

Yes. Yes. This happens quite often actually. If a mistake has been made by the crew or a response you have given is found out to also be correct, you will be awarded with the proper monetary amount. Furthermore, the scores of any other play affected by the mistake will be adjusted accordingly. This holds true in the "Jeopardy!" round as well.

The "Clue Crew" was first created during the 17th season (2001-2002) and have been brought back for the 18th season to continue their work of travelling around the world to discover new and interesting clues which are the basis for the answers on "Jeopardy!". 30. There are 30 monitors, six across and five down. Before the round begins, Alex reveals the six categories across the top of the board. Then a dollar amount appears on each of the 30 monitors. Once the round begins, the contestant who has control of the board requests a topic for a certain dollar amount and that answer is then revealed.
30 seconds. Again, the contestants have 30 seconds to write down their response. At the end of thirty seconds, their pens automatically shut off so they cannot squeeze in extra words.

Bob Blake. During Bob's five games in the sixth season, he took home $82,501. He went on to win the Tournament of Champions at the end of the season.
Jerry Frankel. Sadly, Jerry died of AIDS about a year after the tournament.

Amanda Goad. Amanda Goad and Derek Bridges were tied with $31200 at the end of the two-game final. Amanda was able to correctly come up with the answer to the tiebreaker, and was declared the champion. Joe Gurski took home third place in the tournamet. Another interesting fact about Amanda is that she won the 1992 Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee.
Tom Cubbage. Tom won the very first College Tournament in 1989, representing Southern Methodist University. He later went on to win the 1989 Tournament of Champions. Before the Ultimate Tournament of Champions, he was the only winner of the College Tournament to win the Tournament of Champions.
