 Ouran High School Host Club
| In the ninth episode "A Challenge from Lobelia Girls' Academy!" students from St. Lobelia Girl's Academy attempts to get Haruhi into joining their club at their school. What was the name of their club? | "Ouran High School Host Club" (US) Episodes 1-10

The Zuka Club. The Zuka Club was very popular at St. Lobelia Girl's Academy similar to the Ouran Host Club. Three members of the club, Benio Amakusa, Chizuru Maihara, and Hinako Tsuwabuki, went to Ouran Academy to try and recruit Haruhi. Haruhi never wanted to leave Ouran but the host club was worried that she might want to go to an all girls school. In order to convince Haruhi to stay, all of the members of the host club dressed up as women to show Haruhi their feminine side. Haruhi laughed and told them that she would not leave them anyway since she still had to pay off her debt.
Thunder and lightning. While at the beach, the host club wanted to know what Haruhi's fears were. The only things that really scared her were thunder and lightning. Tamaki found her hiding in a wardrobe during a thunderstorm frightened.
Honey and Mori. Honey and Mori are also cousins coming from a family with strong martial arts backrounds. Even though Honey looks like a little child, he is actually one of the best fighters in his family, his specialty is judo. Mori was the national Kendo champion in junior high school.

The Classical Music Club. When Shiro first showed up to the host club he just asked to learn how to make girls happy, Haruhi was the first one to figure out that he only wanted to make one particular girl happy. After many failed attempts Tamaki figured out that all Shiro's crush wanted to do was play piano with him. Being a very skilled piano player himself, Tamaki teaches Shiro how to play a piece by Mozart. Most of the music played during the show is classical.
Blue and pink. The twins wanted to dye their hair different colors to separate themselves from each other. Most people in the series can not tell the difference between the two of them. Before joining the host club, Hikaru and Kaoru were antisocial and never talked to anyone else much but themselves. Throughout the anime both of the twins along with Tamaki have a crush on Haruhi.
Renge Houshakuji. Renge moved from France to Japan wanting to see Kyoya, she claimed that she was engaged to him even though Kyoya never met her before. Renge plays many video games and reads a lot of manga, she often stereotypes people in real life based on characters in video games and manga. Renge keeps a podium hidden under the floors at the host club and it often rises up when the host club needs her help.

Kyoya. Kyoya's family business The Ootori Group specializes in the medical field. The Ootori Group selected all of the doctors and nurses for the physical exams including a doctor that would keep Haruhi's gender secret. Not knowing this, Tamaki attempted to take the physical exam as Haruhi, he was wearing a brown wig but no one believed him. Honey and Mori even tried to dress up as doctors to keep Haruhi's secret. At the end of the episode the rest of the school thought that Haruhi was still a boy and she remained in the host club.
Yes. Haruhi got her first kiss from another girl Kanako Kasugazaki. The host club organized a ball for Kanako and her fiancé Tohru Suzushima. They were picked as the couple of the night and the reward was for Kanako to receive a kiss from a member of the host club. Haruhi's first kiss was awkward and meaningless to her.

Tamaki Suoh. Haruhi was trying to find a quiet place to study where she stumbled upon the host club in an abandoned music room. Before leaving she accidently broke a vase that was worth eight million yen. In order to pay it off Haruhi had to work for the host club since she could not afford to pay for the vase. Because of her short hair and the way she was dressed, Haruhi was mistaken for a boy at first by the host club. Kyoya was the first to figure out that Haruhi was a girl followed by Honey, the Hitachiin twins Hikaru and Kaoru, Mori, and last Tamaki. Tamaki only figured it out because he accidently saw Haruhi getting dressed. Tamaki is the president of the host club and Kyoya is the vice president even though he does the majority of the work.
J. Michael Tatum. J. Michael Tatum played Kyoya. He also did some of the writing for the show.

The Caterpillar. Kyoya was the Caterpillar, Tamaki was the Mad Hatter, the twins were the Cheshire Cats, and Honey was the March Hare.
The Cool Type. Revealed in the episode "The Grade School Host is the Naughty Type"; Kyoya is the cool type, the grade school boy is the naughty type, Haruhi is the natural type, and Mori is the strong silent type.
No. The reward for winning the refreshing battle was to stay in the bed and breakfast that Haruhi was working at. Kyoya saw no interest in staying in a bed and breakfast by himself and preferred to stay in his vacation home nearby. He was the only member of the Host Club that did not compete. He did help Tamaki in the battle though.
Honey. Kyoya and Honey both have blood type AB. This apparently causes them to wake up in a bad mood.
The Medical Business. Kyoya's family deals with the medical business. This is referred to in the episode "Beware the Physical Exam" where Kyoya says that the school employed his family's doctors, and in the episode "Jungle Pool SOS" where they go to a fake tropical paradise owned by his family for therapy purposes.
Three. Kyoya has three older siblings, a sister and two brothers. He seems to be rather close to his sister but is competitive against his brothers as only one of them can take over the family business.
Vice-President. The only two official positions in the Host Club are president and vice-president. Tamaki is president and Kyoya is vice-president. Kyoya seems to be able to lead the Host Club better though, or at least that is what some of the characters in the show have said.

Haruhi. At first the whole Host Club tries to take Kyoya's car to stop him, but the Otori private police force stops them. Haruhi and the twins take the horse drawn carriage to chase after him but while driving too fast, Hikaru is thrown from the carriage. Haruhi ends up taking the carriage by herself and catches up to him.
Vic Mignogna . Todd Habekorn plays Hikaru, Travis Willingham plays Mori, and Greg Ayres plays Karou.
Yes. Tamaki's father is the superintendent for Ouran Academy and he is the one responsible for Haruhi's scholarship to attend Ouran.
Shiro Takaoji. Shiro is a ten year old boy who wanted to learn how to please girls because he had a crush on a girl in his music club. Because he thought Tamaki was the king of the Host Club, he asked for his help.
Dog. Tamaki got a dog and named her Antoinette.
In a corner. When Tamaki is upset in any way, he sits in a corner with his knees pulled up to his chest. Since he gets upset easily, he ends up in the corner at least once in most of the episodes.
Kyoya Otori. In their third year of middle school, Tamaki got the idea of the Host Club and told Kyoya about it. Because it was such a crazy idea, Kyoya helped him found the club. They started the Host Club in their first year of high school.
French. Tamaki's mother is French, so he is half-French. He lived in France for fourteen years before leaving to live with his father.
No. At first all of the girls thought that Haruhi was adorable at cross-dressing. It took a little while to convince them that she actually cross-dressing as a boy instead of as a girl.
No. Tamaki was going to kiss a girl at the ball, but the other host club members nominated Haruhi to do it. Afterwards, Tamaki was extremely jealous.
Tamaki. Kyoya was the first to figure it out. It took a while for Tamaki to figure out that Haruhi was a girl. Since then he had a crush on her.
Kick the Can. Whenever Tamaki plays Kick the Can, he ends up to get somebody hurt in the process. Maybe someone else should make the starting kick.
Yes. Both Kyoya and Haninozuka (Honey) have AB blood type which makes it a disaster when trying to wake them up. For Kyoya, it was shown when everyone decided to go to the mall together while Kyoya lay in bed while the others tried to force him awake. For Haninozuka (Honey), it was shown when he had his cavity and couldn't eat any form of sugar for three days.
Kyoya & Tamaki. In the final episode, it shows both Tamaki's father and Kyoya's father together in a room. There they say that they want their son to marry Haruhi.
