Elaine also mentions that she's been waiting out more than one marriage, but this is the one she's been watching most. When George comes in, David and Beth come over and say hi to the group. When Beth introduces David to George, they comment about each other's jobs and George unwittingly makes the off-hand comment to Beth that 'she could do a lot better than David' and he soon regrets it after they leave.

Elaine, meanwhile, tells Jerry that she will be having a date with a Todd Gack, who better her a dinner that Dustin Hoffman appeared in "Star Wars".

Jerry tells this to Elaine and she points out the fact that the employee caught him lying because he won't be going back. Jerry asks Elaine to revisit the store with him so that he can prove the employee wrong. Meanwhile, a friend of Susan's is staying with her and George for two weeks.

In the beginning of this episode, Mr. Peterman informs Elaine of an auction for JFK memorabilia, and he asks if she would attend while he is out with a lady-friend. Meanwhile, George is talking with Mr. Wilhelm about a task he is to undertake (as per Mr. Steinbrenner). Unfortunately, he gaps you during their conversation, and George nearly follows the man into the bathroom to hear what he's saying. He decides to wait outside. This turns out to be a bad move though, as he agrees to the plan without the knowledge of what it actually is. Jerry discusses the idea with George and suggests he ask Mr. Wilhelm a follow-up question to get direction.

George is ecstatic about this development as he has been trying to get out of his and Susan's wedding on many occasions. He claims that it's like having a postponed execution. The date was changed because the caterers had the date wrong. Meanwhile, Kramer talks about his date with a woman named Connie. He tells Jerry to wake him up in twenty minutes because he read (in a book about Leonardo Da Vinci) that if he sleeps twenty minutes every three hours, he's refreshed and he technically lives longer.

In the beginning of this episode, Jerry finishes a gig across the country and runs into Sally Weaver, Susan's roommate from college. Sally congratulates him on the success of the gig despite the fact that he really doesn't remember her much. Meanwhile, back in New York, Elaine runs into George and Frank at the coffee shop. George currently isn't pleased with his father as his attempt at getting them to move to Florida's Del Boca Vista fell through, and his father now wants to turn his old bedroom into a rather expensive billiards room.

Jerry's parents also decide to come as they're in town.

In "Behind The Scenes", writer Carol Leifer reveals that the idea of using the Price Club (known for its sale of bulk products at discount prices) as a gag came long before writing for this episode had begun. Her original storyline was for George to buy Susan's engagement ring at the Price Club. To all the Georges and Kramers who don't already know, note that after merging with its rival, Price Club stores have since been rebranded as Costco!
