Sex And The City
Patricia Field. Patricia Field is actually credited as costume designer for thirty-five episodes, from 1999 - 2004. She is also the mastermind behind costumes in the 2006 film "The Devil Wears Prada".
Sarah Jessica Parker. This is why her character, Carrie, is never shown in anything less than underwear (whereas all the other main female characters were shown in much less).
He's just not that into you!. In season six, Carrie's boyfriend Jack Berger (played by actor Ron Livingston) spoke the words "He's just not that into you" only twice, but it obviously made as much as an impact on audiences as it did to Miranda in the episode!
Empire State Building. From the pilot through to the 12th episode of the season four, her name was shown with the World Trade Centre towers.
After the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the USA and the collapse of the towers, her name was shown with the Empire State Building in the background. The same occurred with the main title of the show.
Sarah Jessica Parker was pregnant. As Sarah Jessica Parker was pregnant (but her character wasn't) the series was made significantly shorter due to her inevitably growing bump.
You can see her bump becoming more noticeable with each episode - she's subtly dressed in baggier clothes than before to disguise it.
Alec Baldwin. Alec Baldwin declined this offer, so the producers contacted George Clooney who, although interested, was unable to commit to it. The script was then also declined by Warren Beatty, and so eventually offered to Matthew McConaughey.
Cynthia Nixon. All of her earrings worn on the show were clip-ons! Sometimes the costume designers would even send earrings to jewelers, asking them to make special clip-on versions for her.
