Kyle MacLachlan disagreed with Agent Cooper being involved with a minor.. Although Kyle MacLachlan was involved with Lara Flynn Boyle. It was indeed MacLachlan himself who disagreed with the idea of an affair between the two. He felt that an upstanding honest FBI agent like Cooper would never get involved with a minor.

Laura Palmer. In the final scene of the episode, we see Cooper in the mirror, having been "possessed" by Bob. (Incidentally, Josie's appearance at the top of the series was actually her reflection in the mirror as she applies her makeup.) But...during the closing credits of the final episode, it is Laura's face that can be seen in a cup of coffee sitting on a table in the red room. She is actually the last image that the great David Lynch wanted us to see!
