Stu was born on May 3, 1915 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and died in 2003. He grew up poor and lived in a tent on a farm during the harsh Canadian winters. He had to hunt and milk cows in order to survive. Through his hardships, he eventually was able to overcome and become a titan in the pro wrestling industry.

He headlined Memphis' Mid-South Coliseum in matches with Jerry "the King" Lawler for the rest of the year.

Danny Hodge also won the 177 pound weight class title at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Wrestling Championships while pinning all of his opponents. During Hodge's high school and collegiate wrestling career, he was never taken off of his feet or surrendered a takedown.

GRoy was born on January 25, 1953 in Bolivar, Tennessee. Farris attended and graduated from the University of Memphis. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Before Roy started wrestling, he coached football at Munford High School in Tennessee. In the early years of his wrestling career, Honky would wrestle under his real name. He used the name "Honky Tonk" Wayne Farris in the Stampede Wrestling area. It was not until he joined the then WWF that he became the Honky Tonk Man.

The late Curt Hennig was the second son and the second of five children born to Larry and Irene Hennig. From a very young age Curt displayed his athletic prowess as he was a standout High School star in baseball, basketball and track. Curt ultimately decided to follow in his father's footsteps and pursue a wrestling career. When the territories were still around, Portland promoter Don Owen ran one of the most successful of them. On April 27, 1982, the father and son team of Larry and Curt Hennig defeated Matt Borne and Rip Oliver to win The Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship. Their reign was brief as Oliver and Borne won the titles back just four days later.
