    Kentucky Thoroughblades. After the season, Kentucky moved to Cleveland, reviving the Barons after a 29 year absence.

    Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The previous year, the Islanders shared the Lowell Lock Monsters with the Los Angeles Kings.

    Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. They were reactivated in 1999.

Which brand new club for 2003-2004, is the affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers?
    Toronto Roadrunners. In 2003, Montreal takes full control of Hamilton, so Edmonton revived a familiar WHA and IHL logo with the Roadrunners. (By the way, the Eskimos were a WCHA team from the 1910s, Orlando was the last IHL Turner Cup champ in 2001, and Atlantic City won the ECHL's Kelly Cup in 2003)
