The Bears won in 1940 vs Redskins 73-0, 1941 vs Giants 37-9, 1943 vs Redskins 41-21, and 1946 vs Giants 24-14. They were in the championship game in 1942 but were beaten by the Redskins 14-6.

Answer: 1963

The Bears made it to the championship game in 1956 but lost to the Giants, 47-7. The Bears won the Championship in 1963 when they defeated the Giants, 14-10.

Answer: Mike Ditka

Ditka was a first round, fifth pick of the Bears in 1961 out of Pittsburgh, and was the UPI NFL Rookie of the Year. He played the tight end position. The others all received the award. Bull received it in 1962, Sayers in 1965, and McMahon in 1982.

Answer: Mike Tomczak

Tomczak took over after McMahon's injury, but was eventually replaced by Doug Flutie. Flutie was drafted in 1985 by the Rams, but instead, played in the United States Football League for the New Jersey Generals. 1986 was his "rookie" NFL season with the Bears.

He lacked the experience the Bears needed to carry the team in place of McMahon. The Bears were defeated by the Redskins in the playoffs 27-13, ending their Super Bowl hopes.
