Answer: Jim Kaat

Kaat began his career in 1959 with the Washington Senators. He retired in 1983 with the St.Louis Cardinals playing with teams such as the Twins, White Sox, Phillies, and Yankees before retiring with the Cardinals. His best season was in 1966 with the Twins when he went 25-13 and retired with a win-loss record of 283-237.

Answer: He didn't wear a number

The Tigers did not have numbers on their uniforms in 1905.
3. What Major Leaguer was ordered to stop wearing hair curlers on the field in 1973?

Answer: Doc Ellis

Doc Ellis of the Pittsburgh Pirates was ordered by manager Bill Virdon and also Danny Murtaugh to get rid of them in 1973 due to the negativity that it created for baseball. He was fined twice before he got rid of them.
