In "Wild Magic", what phrase does Daine use to decribe her magic?
    A knack with animals. At first Daine is in denial that this "knack" is magic.

What monster did Daine recruit at the end of "Wild Magic" that helped immensely to change the tide of the battle?
    A kraken. Afterwards, it took both Alanna the Lioness and Numair to get the kraken out of the cove. When they finally did, he sucked out all the water with him. The Lioness had to pull the water back in.

What killed Skysong's mother?
    Liquid fire. All of these-with the exception of the kraken-were thrown at the dragon, but only the liquid fires struck. She caught the ball from the catapult and dropped it on an enemy ship. The magic she simply blew away.

In what animal's form is Numair when Daine first sees him?
    A hawk's. He had shape-shifted as a hawk to escape from Lord Sinthya. Unfortunately, he had been stuffed with drugs to keep him sedated-in a much larger dose than a hawk could handle. Enough, in fact, to knock out a full grown man.

In "Wolf Speaker", what color was Tristan's magic?
    Yellow. His was yellow. Crimson edged with gold is Stormwing magic, and black is Numair's.

What was the name of Numair's horse in "Wolf Speaker"?
    Spots. Spots is Numair's mount; Mangle is Daine's and Numair's packhorse.

Which was the first animal that Daine successfully entered the mind of?
    Brokefang. Daine tried it first with Cloud, without success.

In "Wolf Speaker", which wolf played with Kitten when she was sulking?
    Russet. Kitten had been sulking because the wolf pups were afraid of her and wouldn't come near.

Who is Yolane's husband?
    Belden. Despite this, Yolane was having an affair with Tristan.

What was Rikash's last name?
    Moonsword. Rikash informs us (grimacing) that his ancestors were a sentimental lot. (Darkmoon, by the way, was Alanna's horse in "Wild Magic").

Emperor Ozorne cannot make simulacra that can do magic or look like they have magic.
    true. The Emperor can't. Numair can, but Ozorne doesn't know it-and Daine's not about to tell him.

The first time Daine saw Emperor Ozorne, what was his color scheme?
    Gold. Everything was gold. He'd gilded his hair, all of his jewelry was gold (and there was a lot of it), there was gold paint on his lips, eyebrows, and eyelashes, etc. In fact, the only two things mentioned that were not gold were a length of crimson cloth and his six-row necklace of opals.

In "Emperor Mage", what was the phrase Daine used to describe the way the Badger acted when he came into her cabin on the ship?
    Not himself. Numair was quite startled and rather alarmed to hear this.

In "Emperor Mage", what offerings were in Gainel's (the Master of Dreams) palace temple?
    Two lavender-stuffed packets. In Carthak, anyone caught making an offering to a god was fined the cost of the item. Emperor Ozorne thought that if they needed to worship anyone, they could worship him. He also thought that that money was better spent on taxes.

What do Wyverns' breathe?
    A thick yellow fog. The fog caused a dry, long lasting cough that made the eyes burn and blur.

In "The Realms of the Gods" what is the name of the duck-billed platypus god that Daine meets?
    Broadfoot. Broadfoot often visits Daine's mother's cabin to sample her cooking.

What nickname did Diamondflame acquire in the later chapters of "The Realms of the Gods"?
    Big Blue. It was Daine who crowned him "Big Blue". Diamondflame described his new nickname as "Interesting".

Inar Hadensra wears a ruby in his eye socket to replace his real eye, which he lost in a battle.
    false. Inar Hadensra plucked out his own eye in order to make space for the magical ruby.

What were the darkings made of?
    Blood. Ozorne formed them from his own blood to be his spies.
