"The Tempest" featured a character named Miranda. She was the daughter of Prospero, who was the exiled Duke of Milan. This play setting was a remote island, Miranda and her father had spent twelve years on the island, as a result of Prospero's brothers scheming.

Researching for Mirandas, led me to Nepentles Miranda, a carnivorous plant which can be found in Asia. The plant can be found growing under trees or on them. Nepantles Miranda, dissolves the captured insects in a similar way to the human stomach in its process of digestion.

Ernesto Miranda was a Hispanic man, who after being arrested for theft in 1963, also confessed to a crime of a sexual nature, with no lawyers present. Within hours he was charged. There was no alleged physical evidence, and apparently no credible witnesses.

In 1966, the original sentence of twenty years was reduced to eleven years following a second trial. As a result "Miranda rights" were established. "Miranda rights",or the Miranda warning should be issued to all arrested criminals, by the arresting officer. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you".
