    Dog. The scientific name for the domesticated dog is Canis lupus familiaris. Dogs can do a wide variety of tricks which the owner can teach them over time.

Did I ever tell you Bill, I once got arrested for feeding this fierce, maned animal at the circus?
    Lion. The binomial name for the lion is Panthera leo. Lions can live from ten to fourteen years in the wild and while in captivity they can live for more than twenty years.

I enjoy listening to music at night with this feline pet.
    Cat. The binomial name for the cat is Felis catus. A phobia of cats is called ailurophobia.

Marc owns a farm and keeps this grazing animal there.
    Cow. The binomial name for the cow is Bos primigenius. The meat from an adult cow is known as beef, and and the meat from calves (baby cows) is veal.

    Goat. The scientific name for the domestic goat is Capra aegagrus hircus. Goats were one of the earliest domesticated animals by humans.
