    Tom Varndell. A great run and offload by Dan Hipkiss, gave Tom the room he needed to motor under the posts for a 1 point victory.

    Ospreys. A brilliant first half gave a massive lead for the Tigers, but was very nearly thrown away in an abysmal second half finishing 41-35.

    Alesana Tuilagi. Martin Corry won the Outstanding Contribution award. Martin Castrogiavanni won the Newcomer of the Year award. Seru Rabeni won the Tackle of the Year award, and was also the partner on the opposite wing of Tuilagi.

    Ben Youngs. He came on as a substitute late in the second half due to Leicesters severe lack of scrum-halfs. Harry Ellis was injured with a knee injury, and Scott Bemand was also out. This meant he was automatically second choice putting him on the bench.

    Tom Varndell. The season before, Varndell was the Guiness Premiership top try scorer. This season he got less games because of his loaned spell and the good partnership formed between Rabeni and Tuilagi.

    Martin Corry. A run of very bad results led to the firing of England manager Andy Robinson. Brian Ashton replaced him and as one of his first moves.

    Ian Humphreys. Humphreys had a small spell at Division One side Leeds Tykes. However he returned to Tigers and played a vital match while still being officially a Leeds player. Tom Varndell also had a short spell at Bedford but his went without a hitch.

Which family had 5 brothers all play for the Tigers at some point in their career?
    Tuilagi. There are really 7 Tuilagi brothers, 6 of which play rugby. Freddie, Henry, Alesana, and Anitelea have all played in the first team. Vavae was in the academy.
