    Seth. Seth was the only Goa'uld to remain free on Earth following the rebellion of the Tauri slaves. It is believed he was in hiding from the system lords. In Egyptian mythology he is not only the god of chaos, but also the embodiment of pure evil.

    Sumerians. Marduk was imprisoned inside a sarcophagus for thousands of years by his own priests, because he was so evil that even his own followers found his behavior abhorrent. Although the host died, the symbiote survived until killed while SG1 was sent to rescue a Russian team in the episode, "The Tomb".

Which goddess was both sister and wife to Osiris?
    Isis. Isis was the Egyptian mother-goddess and consort of Osiris. She and Osiris were "banished to oblivion" by Seth when their symbiotes were placed in canopic jars acting as stasis chambers. The jars were recovered as artifacts, but the seal on the Isis jar was broken, and the symbiote died. Osiris survived and took Daniel's old girlfriend, Sarah Gardner, as a host, "The Curse".

    Imhotep. Imhotep, a minor Goa'uld, pretended to be his own First Prime, Kytano, and led a band of rebel Jaffa. He tricked Teal'c and Bra'tac into his cause, almost leading to the death of Teal'c. When Teal'c finally realized what he was dealing with, he challenged Kytano to a fight to the death. Teal'c won, killing Imhotep. In mythology, Imhotep was known as a great architect, sage, and pyramid builder.

    the sea. Olokun was one of the Goa'uld System Lords seen in "Summit". Olokun was said to live in a huge underwater palace with both humans and fish as his servants. The Yoruba are an African tribe in Nigeria.

    Kali. Kali was another of the Goa'uld System Lords represented in "Summit". In Hindu mythology she is the symbol of dissolution and destruction. She destroys ignorance, maintains the world order, and blesses and frees those who strive for the knowledge of god.

    Apophis. Apophis was the Greek name for Apep, the great enemy of Ra, and rapidly gained power following Ra's death. Apophis was a primary enemy for the Tauri in the first 5 years of the Stargate program. In mythology he was an Egyptian monster living in perpetual darknessand was the chief antagonist of the sun god Ra.

    falcon. Heru'ur is the son of Ra and Hathor, a powerful System Lord, much feared conqueror, and enemy to Apophis. In a confrontation with Apophis, he was apparently killed in the destruction of his ship, and his forces were absorbed by Apophis "The Serpent's Venom". Heru-ur, better known as Horus in Egyptian mythology, was the son of Hathor and was born after the death of Osiris.

    Nirrti. Nirrti was responsible for the deaths of Cassandra's people, "Singularity". She spends much of her time conducting genetic experiments in an attempt to create a hok'tar (advanced human) to use as a new host, "Rite of Passage". As the goddess of destruction, the Hindu's believed she lived in the South, which is the land of the dead.

    Thoth. Thoth worked with Anubis to develop the Kull Warriors, "Evolution". Thoth is the Greek name for the Egyptian god Djeheuty. Thoth was the god of wisdom, inventor of writing, patron of scribes and the divine mediator, represented by a man with the head of an ibis.

    cat. Bastet was also one of the Goa'uld System Lords who had suffered greatly at the hands of Anubis, "Summit".
