What is Thorin II known as? (He is the one that plays a part in "The Hobbit")
    Thorin Oakenshield. Thorin II was the son of Thráin II. He was the King of Durin's Folk and in "The Hobbit" he led his people to reclaim the city Erebor from Smaug. He was slain in the Battle of Five Armies.

Who is Arwen's grandmother on father's side?
    Elwing. Arwen's father Elrond was the son of Elwing and Eärendil. Elwing escaped the destruction of the Havens of Sirion in the form of a white bird. (the Valar Ulmo helped her with this) Then she returned to her husband Eärendil, who was on the Sea, with a Silmaril on her breast.

Who is "the One" that created the earth and was the father of the Valar?
    Ilúvatar. Ilúvatar, or Eru was also called "the One" by the elves. He told the Ainur, his children, to create Middle-Earth, and only Ilúvatar himself knows what is going to happen to it. The Ainur are not exactly the same as the Valar. The evil Ainur Melkor is not considered to be one of the Valar. Also the Maiar (who aren't Valar) belong to the Ainur.

    Elfstan. Elfstan was the son of Elanor, Sam's eldest daughter, and Fastred of Greenholm. Elfstan was born in the year 33 of the Fourth Age. His name means 'Elfstone', whiwh probably has connections with Aragorn's royal name Elessar.

What is the first name of Frodo's mother?
    Primula. Primula Brandybuck was the mother of Frodo Baggins. She died with her husband Drogo Baggins in a boating accident on the River Brandywine in the Shire, so the young Frodo went to live with Bilbo.

Who is Thingol's daughter? She was said to be the most beautiful Elf Maiden to walk around on Middle-Earth.
    Lúthien Tinúviel. Lúthien Tinúviel was Half-Elven, she was the daughter of the elf Thingol and the Maiar spirit Melian. Lúthien was the first Elf who fell in love with a mortal man, Beren. Arwen, daughter of Elrond was also said to resemble Luthien in appearance.

Whose name means "hidden hero" in Sindarin Elvish?
    Haldir. Not very much is known about Haldir. He has two brothers, Rumil and Orophin. Together they guard the woods of LothLórien. In "The Fellowship of the Ring", Haldir leads the fellowship to Celeborn and Galadriël in the city of Caras Galadhon (which is the city with all the trees, as you can see in the film).

    Faramir. Faramir was the younger son of Steward Denethor of Gondor, and brother of Boromir, who was part of The Fellowship of The Ring. His father Denethor always favoured his older son Boromir, and after Boromir's death, Denethor tried to kill Faramir too.
