Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Michael Keaton was on "Celebrity Jeopardy", what phrase did he keep repeating?

Answer: I'm Batman.

Michael Keaton was played by "SNL" guest host Matthew Perry. In addition to repeating "I'm Batman", Michael Keaton also rang in and answered a number of questions with over-the-top facial expressions and hand gestures. He also 'broke down' the category Numbers (a parody of Keaton's character in "Night Shift" breaking down the word prostitution and studying it syllable by syllable).

He said that 'num' means you can't feel, and 'ber' is something you say when you're cold, so his answer (to a question that wasn't asked) was "people who can't feel that they're cold".
2. What was Hilary Swank's answer to "This colour ends in -urple"?

Answer: light urple

Hilary Swank was played by Jimmy Fallon. During Final Jeopardy, rather than revealing her answer and wager, she spent her time giving a long and emotional thank-you speech.

Keanu Reeve's (Tobey Maguire) answer to "This colour ends in -urple" was "Who is Jaleel White?", because "he was the fellow who played Urple" (Urkel).
3. Which of these has not been wagered in Final Jeopardy?

Answer: 18 pennies

"George Clooney Sucks" was wagered by Michael Keaton. His answer had been "Val Kilmer Sucks".

Keanu Reeve's wager was "Eleventy billion dollars", but he failed to write down any answer to the category "Just write anything". Alex Trebek told Reeves that that was not a real number, and Reeves replied "Yet".

French Stewart (played by Jimmy Fallon) wagered "$Texas". His answer to "Write Down a Number" was "Threeve".
4. What was Sean Connery's response to "This is the only month that starts with "Feb"?

Answer: Febtober

This was one of only a few times when Sean Connery buzzed in and gave a legitimate guess to the question. Usually he turned his answers into an insult against either Alex Trebek or Trebek's mother.

In response to the same question, Calista Flockhart (played by Drew Barrymore) answered "Febterday".
5. Which of these was not a category that got pronounced wrong, in a funnier way?

Answer: These all were

Sean Connery (played by Darrell Hammond) was the one who pronounced all of these categories (and many others) incorrectly. "The Pen Is Mightier" became "The Penis Mightier", "Therapists" was "The Rapists", and "An Album Cover" was read as "Anal Bum Cover".

Burt Reynolds (played by Norm Macdonald) also misunderstood a few categories, such as changing "Condiments" to "the Condom one".
6. What happened when Robin Williams played "Celebrity Jeopardy"?

Answer: He stabbed himself in the hand with his little pen.

Robin Williams (played by Jimmy Fallon) spent most of the game buzzing in and telling jokes and impersonating people, rather than answering questions. When Trebek approached him to see what he answered in Final Jeopardy, he found that Williams had written down nothing because he had stabbed himself with the pen. Trebek told Robin Williams to never come back to "Celebrity Jeopardy".

In other segments of the skit, Nicolas Cage (Jimmy Fallon) lost his podium, Burt Reynolds wore the really big hat, and Marlon Brando (John Goodman) took off his pants.
7. When Alex Trebek gave the Final Jeopardy category as "Make up your own question and answer it", what question did Catherine Zeta-Jones make up for herself?

Answer: What sound does a doggy make?

Catherine Zeta-Jones was played by Lucy Liu and spent most of the game talking about her husband, Michael Douglas, and their baby. Her answer to her own question was "???" and she told Alex Trebek that it was too hard.
8. Which of these was a guest on the Rock and Roll edition of "Celebrity Jeopardy"?

Answer: Dave Matthews

Jimmy Fallon played Dave Matthews. The other contestants on Rock and Roll "Celebrity Jeopardy" were Bjork (played by Winona Ryder), and Sean Connery. Sean Connery informed Trebek that he had recorded an album of dirty limericks, just so that he would be eligible for Rock and Roll "Celebrity Jeopardy".
9. Which of these was never a category in "Celebrity Jeopardy"?

Answer: These all were categories

Alex Trebek described the category "Is This A Hat?" as "That's where I name an object and you tell whether or not it's a hat".

When Jeff Goldblum (David Duchovny) was a contestant, the answer given for "Current U.S. Presidents" was "He is the current U.S. President... He has white hair and you've probably seen him in the news... His first name is Bill... Mr. Goldblum, I know for a fact you've had dinner with him recently... His last name is Clinton. His name is Bill Clinton... Please, someone simply say: Who is Bill Clinton?".

"Foods That End in 'Amburger'" was a category, but no question was asked from it.
10. Who played Alex Trebek in these sketches?

Answer: Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell appeared as Alex Trebek in all thirteen sketches of "Celebrity Jeopardy": two per season during his six-year run as an "SNL" cast member, and one more when he guest hosted in 2005.

The real Alex Trebek appeared in the final episode of "Celebrity Jeopardy" while Ferrell was an "SNL" regular.
