    Wade Boggs. Boggs had 7 consecutive seasons with 200 or more hits from 1983 to 1989. Gehringer is next with 5 consecutive seasons.

In 1962, Dodger great Maury Wills had 208 hits in a season. What was his season batting average?
    .299. Wills just could not reach the .300 mark even being the speedster that he was.

What pitcher did Mark McGwire hit his 500th home run off?
