gum. This law was apparently made because of excessive pollution due to gum (large amounts stuck in the subway stations and cars). Even though the law is still strict with pollution of gum, you now CAN get gum from a doctors prescription...crazy!

f. The actual law states, "No one may start a car while someone is underneath the vehicle." I guess this law doesn't really qualify as stupid, just as law for stupid people.
