This Jones boy was born with the surname Woodward, in Trefforest near Cardiff in June 1940. Although he has a home near the green, green grass of South Wales, it's not unusual to see him singing at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Who is this Jones boy?

    Tom Jones. Sir Thomas Jones Woodward was knighted in 2006. He has had a successful singing career dating back to the 1960's. He once performed "Delilah" as a duet with the great tenor, Luciano Pavarotti - half of which was sung in Italian.

Who played the part of Bridget Jones in the films based on her diaries?
    Renee Zellweger. Bridget Jones' Diary actually started life as a newspaper column in the British daily broadsheet, the "Independent". The author, Helen Fielding, turned the diaries into novels, and in 2001, "Bridget Jones' Diary" was released as a film, to be followed three years later by "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason". Renee Zellweger starred in both films.

This Jones boy, sometimes known as a 'man in black', won his first Oscar for his portrayal of Marshal Samuel Gerard in "The Fugitive". Who is he?
    Tommy Lee Jones. Tommy Lee Jones won a scholarship to Harvard, where he was a star football player. He is one of those actors who seems equally at home playing goodies or baddies. He received his third Academy Award in 2007 for his role as Hank Deerfield in the film "In the Valley of Elah".

    Indiana Jones. He is Dr Henry Walton Indiana Jones Jr, to give him his full title! After first appearing on the cinema screen in 1981, "Indy" has since been since in more feature films, in a TV series, in comics, novels, video games and in a theme park ride based on his adventures.

This Jones girl won three Gold and two Bronze medals at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, but was later stripped of all her medals after being found guilty of drug taking. Who is she?
    Marion Jones. Marion Jones strenuously denied any drug taking, but everything came to a head in October 2007. She finally admitted to her misdemeanours at this time, and was banned from all competitions from October 5th 2007 for two years. Additionally, all medals, results and prizes achieved from 2000 onwards were stripped from her - thus, she had to give back the medals she'd "won" in Sydney. On the same day, she was found formally guilty of lying to Federal Investigators during the course of the enquiries, and was subsequently sentenced to sixth months in jail, a sentence she served in the first half of 2008.

Edward Jones got together with two other journalists to form a publishing company in 1882. One of their brands survives to this day. What is it?
    The Dow Jones Index. Charles Dow and Charles Bergstresser were the two other journalists who formed the company with Edward Jones. The company was owned by the Bancroft family until 2007, when it was acquired by News Corporation. Originally set up as publishers of financial information, the company's most enduring product is the Dow Jones Index. This index is designed to give a snapshot of how stocks are performing in the US. The index is calculated by averaging the stock prices of 30 of the country's largest publically traded companies.

Jones the Film is a TV production company founded in 2003 by a well loved Welsh comedian. Which gentleman, born in Swansea, and associated with Marion, Geoff, Gavin, Stacey and Keith Barrett, are we talking about here?
    Rob Brydon. Griff Rhys Jones was born in Cardiff, and founded the TV production company Modern TV, which produces many of his programmes. Harry Secombe was a singer and comedian, most well known for his time as one of "The Goons", and Rhod Gilbert is a stand up comedian who has also presented radio and TV shows in Wales.

This Jones boy is a fearsome fast bowler who played a major role in England's cricket Ashes triumph in 2005. His father Jeff was also a fast bowler who appeared for England in the 1960's. Which Jones boy are we talking about here?
    Simon Jones. Matthew Jones was a Welsh international footballer before his career was bought to a premature end by a serious knee injury. Stephen Jones is a rugby player, having represented Wales and the British Lions on many occasions. Caryl Parry Jones is a pop singer and writer, who was Wales' National Children's Poet in 2007.

Henry Fielding's best known novel is this rumbustious tale of this Jones boy. Generally regarded by literary critics as being one of the definitive comedy novels of the 18th Century, what is the name of the book?
    Tom Jones. The larger than life Tom Jones romps his way through this bawdy comedy from one misadventure to the next! As well as being one of the most famous literary figures of his time, Henry Fielding was also credited with starting Britain's first police force - he used his position as a magistrate in bringing the "Bow Street Runners" into being.

This Jones boy has broken most of the Atlanta Braves' batting records, the team he started with in 1993. In 2008, he launched a Chardonnay bearing his name. Who is this baseball legend?
    Chipper Jones. Larry Wayne Jones was born in DeLand, Florida in April 1972. He first played for the Atlanta Braves in 1992, and has set all sorts of batting records for them over the years. In 2008, he launched the "Chipper Chardonnay", which gives 100% of the proceeds to the Miracle League, an organization which supports children with disablities.
